Clairemont PTA


We are crew!  Dr. Armour, the entire staff and faculty at Clairemont Elementary, and your PTA board would like you to know that we are all in this together.  The PTA would like to thank our Clairemont faculty and staff for their hard work navigating these unprecedented times.  

To our Bulldog families, we are a community whether we are at school or at home.  Please know if you have any needs or concerns, feel free to reach out to us and we will be happy to help or point you in the right direction.  

We have added a new tab at the top of this page that will take you to a list of resources that our school and our parents have found.  If you have more suggestions or websites that would be helpful for our community, please message us on Facebook or send us an email.  We will continue to update this page as more information becomes available.

It's that time of  year again when our PTA needs your help!  Our board has several openings for the 2020-21 school year as many of our current members are moving on to Talley.  The following positions are available: 

Co-President, Co-Vice President, Co-Secretary, Treasurer, Community Outreach, Marketplace Chair, Read-a-thon Chair, Spirit wear Chair, and a Book Fair Chair.   

Our PTA is a wonderful asset to our school and can only function with the help from our parents.  Many of our current members are employed full time and are able to participate when they can.  We meet once a month beginning in August to discuss school needs and issues.

Community day is March 21st, 9-3!  - This is postponed at this time, we hope to reschedule later this year.

As an amazing bonus, we have two Disney park hopper tickets to raffle off to the families that sign in for community day.  This event will happen rain or shine so please join us in beautifying our  school!

What We Do

The PTA works to enhance the educational experience of all Clairemont students by supporting teachers and staff, organizing fundraisers for items not covered by the school budget, and planning and hosting community-building events. Our main fundraising events are the Read-a-Thon and The Decatur Holiday Marketplace which is in its 27th year. Through our fundraising efforts, we support many offerings and initiatives including  teacher and parent grants, field trips for all students, facility enhancements, and various community-building events. 

Who We Are

The Clairemont PTA includes families and teachers affiliated with Clairemont Elementary School, working together to build community through school events, committees, and initiatives. Our Board is made up of Clairemont parents, along with our Principal, Dr. Curtis Armour, and two teacher representatives. The Board meets once a month to discuss upcoming events, goals, needs, and concerns raised in the Clairemont community.

Our meetings are open to the public and if you would like to attend to bring up a fundraiser, idea, or concern, please contact the PTA Board.
