We need you!  Clairemont Elementary is forming a Diversity and Inclusion committee and we would love your help!  This committee will work hand and hand with our faculty and district committees.  Clairemont is an amazingly diverse school and we look forward to celebrating our differences and learning from one another. It's that time of year again!  Time to apply for the 2020 Decatur Holiday Marketplace!  In light of the current COVID epidemic, we have decided to make this year's event virtual to ensure the safety of everyone involved.  We have been working all summer to update this website to create a virtual marketplace and we are excited to bring our one of kind event to your homes this winter!

The applications for our artists open on July 6, 2020 and will close on October 16th, 2020.  The application fee is $25.  The event dates are November 27th, 2020 at 8 am through December 11th, 2020 at 5 pm.  Please see the above marketplace tab for more information and the application link for this exciting event!

Coming soon!  We are excited to announce our new Situated to Read campaign that will launch on October 26th. This exciting event will be coupled with our annual book fair with Little Shop of Stories.  For our new parents, every year Clairemont has a read-a-thon in which the kids are encouraged to read and earn money for their school. It becomes a real competition amongst the classes and is a lot of fun!  This year we will be doing a “trial run” in October. All the fun of read-a-thon without raising money. Spirit wear!  The Clairemont PTA is excited to announce the addition of the Clairemont spirit wear store.  We are in the process of moving to an online store and plan to be ready to go in October. Please be on the lookout for more information in the coming weeks.

The Clairemont PTA board would like to say thank you to all of you.  The parents, students, teachers, and staff at Clairemont Elementary have shown amazing perseverance and sense of community over the last four weeks. We know there have been times when it hasn’t been easy, but please know we are all in this together.  WE ARE CREW!

What We Do

The PTA works to enhance the educational experience of all Clairemont students by supporting teachers and staff, organizing fundraisers for items not covered by the school budget, and planning and hosting community-building events. Our main fundraising events are the Read-a-Thon and The Decatur Holiday Marketplace which is in its 27th year. Through our fundraising efforts, we support many offerings and initiatives including  teacher and parent grants, field trips for all students, facility enhancements, and various community-building events. 

Who We Are

The Clairemont PTA includes families and teachers affiliated with Clairemont Elementary School, working together to build community through school events, committees, and initiatives. Our Board is made up of Clairemont parents, along with our Principal, Dr. Curtis Armour, and two teacher representatives. The Board meets once a month to discuss upcoming events, goals, needs, and concerns raised in the Clairemont community.

Our meetings are open to the public and if you would like to attend to bring up a fundraiser, idea, or concern, please contact the PTA Board.
